The Webster Group recently supplied and installed an emergency power generator to the new $39 million Elective Surgery Centre currently under construction at North Shore Hospital.
The 900kVA generator, complete with 20,000 litre bulk fuel system, associated pipe-work, alarm, and indication monitoring, was supplied and installed into the purpose built infrastructure support building next to the Elective Surgery Centre, to provide emergency power when vital electrical installation work was taking place.
The process required the use of an 80 tonne New Zealand built crane, as well as the employment of traffic management plans, and all other aspects of safe working practices to ensure a high-quality, superior service.
The new facility is scheduled for completion in July this year and will be one of New Zealand’s leading elective surgery centres.
Phil Cadman, project manager at Electrix Ltd, responsible for the electrical works at the new unit, says the services provided by Webster Group were expert and of the highest standard.
“Dave at Webster Group is a very knowledgeable subcontractor that gave a good backing to us at site meetings and brought confidence to the client,” he says.
“Webster’s provided a good solution to the DHB’s requirements, and executed delivery well and on time.”
Mr Cadman says he highly recommends Webster Group for future projects.
